BitComet registered user can benefit from faster download through P2SP. When a registered user moves higher up the rank, more P2SP connections (more resources – see explanation below) could be established, maximizing potential download speed.

Problem with incomplete download

Sometimes, you will notice that certain files download stopped at 99.5%, 98% and so on. The problem lies in the hash checking. You can actually stop the respective files and do a manual hash check. After the manual hash check has been completed, you will need to start the download process again. Usually, this will work unless there are really no peers having the complete (100%) files. In this case, you will need to wait for the seeders or the peers......

BitComet in default is not maximized for performance. Through fine-tuning, BitComet could offer better download speed to the user. The tips below offer an insight to configure BitComet to run better. It may work for you or it might not since the end result depends on your computer and your bandwidth too. Thus, the tips below are meant as a guideline only.
