When Clinton visited the Pope, he noticed a red
phone on a small table in the corner of the office.

After several minutes of conversation, Clinton asked
the Pope what the red phone was.

The Holy Father told him that it was a very special
phone with a direct line to God. However, the Pope
told Clinton he rarely used it because it cost
$20,000 a minute from the Vatican.

Clinton accepted this explanation without another thought.

Later, when Clinton visited Ireland, he saw another
red phone in the Archbishop's office. Being curious,
Clinton asked the Archbishop what it was used for.

The Archbishop told Clinton it was a direct line to God,
and he used it whenever he had a puzzling question or concern.

Clinton asked if the calls were quite expensive since
the Pope had to pay $20,000 a minute when he used
his red phone in the Vatican.

"Oh no," replied the Archbishop, "In Ireland it's a local call."

Irishman went to a pet shop and
asked how many budgies were in
stock. "We have 99" replied the
shop owner "Give us the lot" said
the Irish man, paid for them and
left. He went to a tailors shop
and had 99 pockets sewn into a
jacket, put a budgie in each
pocket, went up to the Post
Office Tower and jumped off.
He hit the ground with an
almighty smack and lay there
groaning until a passer-by came
and asked him what had
happened. "I don't know sur" he
replied "but that's the last time I
try that budgie jumping"

Young girl from Donegal leaves home to find work
among the bright lights of London.
Comes home 6 months later and steps out of a taxi,
wearing a full-length mink coat.
"Begorrah, Colleen" says her mother "'Tis a lovely
soft coat yer wearin' - an' it looks so
expensive. Where did ye get that?"
Colleen replies, "Sure now, I won it at the bingo.
Don't they have wonderful prizes in London."
When the weekend's over, Colleen returns to the
bright lights, but she's back to visit her
mom a few months later.
This time, when she steps out of the taxi, she's
wearing a beautiful gold wristwatch and a
large diamond ring.
(Same exchange with mom -- same "Won it at bingo.
" Then Colleen returns to the bright lights once again.)
A few months later, she's back again. And this time
she's sporting a beautiful emerald and diamond
necklace with matching bracelet and earrings.
She hands her mother 1,000 pounds and
explains that she won it all at the bingo.......

NASA officials were interviewing three prospective astronauts to sent to Mars on a dangerous one-way trip. Only one of the three would go, and that candidate would never return to Earth. The interviewer asked the first candidate, an engineer, how much he wanted to be paid to go.

"One million dollars," replied the engineer, "and I want it donated to my alma mater, Rice University."

The interviewer asked the next candidate the same question.

"Two million dollars," answered the doctor, "and I want to give one million to my family and leave the other million to medical research."

The third candidate, a lawyer, was asked the same question.

"Three million dollars!" replied the lawyer.

"Why so much?" the interviewer inquired.

The lawyer replied, "If you give me three million, I'll keep a million, give you a million, and we'll send the engineer."

Olympic Opening Ceremonies: Reminiscent of Nazi Germany

If you want to know what kind of spectacles Hitler would have put on to impress the world with his power and influence had he been alive today, then you should have watched the Olympic opening ceremonies.

China put it's many, many people to work, as well as it's advanced technology, in a ceremony that reminds the rest of the world who the real economic powerhouse is. Only a dictatorship could frighten so many people into working their asses off to be so perfectly in sync and perform such awe-inspiring formations and movements.

For a nation that is so against art and creativity, as evidenced by the banning of the films of one of the greatest filmmakers in the world, Wong Kar Wai (as well as outlawing the director, himself), and their strict regulations on other films, internet, television, and any other creative outlets, this spectacle was an artistic masterpiece that cannot be topped. The show was really indescribable and breathtaking,......

You can sit at a PC in Cave Creek Arizona and reach out and control another PC on Wall Street in New York City. I do it every day. The location is unimportant. All you need is an Internet connection at both locations, a little software help and permission. You can remotely control another PC, move the mouse, look at settings, read or edit a document, and even transfer files. Good remote access software solutions have security to prevent unauthorized access.

With computer technology there are almost always several way to get a job done. Some are good, some are bad, and some are scary. Here are five tested and secure ways to remotely control a PC for support or training. Some are free, and some have a cost. There are pros and cons to each choice, so pick the solution that best meets your needs. The short list of remote access software (details below):

  1. Crossloop - fast, simple and secure. File transfer. Session oriented. Free service.
  2. PCAnywhere - robust, powerful, complete feature list.......

Do you like coffee? I do, it's taste and aroma make my mornings so much better! But I heard that regular coffee drinking can have some negative effects on my health, so I decided to do my own little research and here is what I have found:

Coffee Pros

  • 1. Antioxidants. Coffee is rich in antioxidants like chlorogenic acid and melanoidins. Antioxidants help prevent oxidation, a process that causes damage to cells and contributes to aging.
  • 2. Parkinson's disease. Regular coffee drinking reduces the risk of Parkinson's disease. A number of studies [1],[2] have demonstrated that people who drink coffee on a regular basis are significantly less likely to develop Parkinson's disease.
  • 3. Diabetes. Coffee drinking has the potential to protect against the development of type 2 diabetes. A prospective study[3] as part of the US Nurses Health Study found that moderate consumption of both caffeinated and decaffeinated coffee may lower the risk of type 2 diabetes in younger and middle......

Tell tale signs of a gay boyfriend are easy to over look at first. I had a relationship with an attractive, intelligent, well dressed guy for about 3 months. I ended it because I was convinced that he was more interested in my brother than in me. A few weeks later, he came out of the closet. All the flashing neon signs were clear as crystal after I had the......
