assalamualaikum,

Allah has been known by 99 attributes or traits which are mentioned in the Quran. These are known as His beautiful names. These are names that have been revealed to humanity while there are many other attributes that we are not aware of. Our intellect has not been given the capacity to comprehend them or recognize Allah through these characteristics. When we ponder on the names of Allah we are filled with wonder and awe at His being and power it wields. If we are to think of any one human who would have all these 99 traits we can imagine the person to be so superior and so powerful. Then imagine our Creator who not only possesses the peak of all these excellent traits but also possesses other traits that we are not even aware of and are not even able to comprehend.

If we consider other deities that have been created by humans and taken as a partner to Allah. None of these false gods/goddesses have anywhere communicated with such clarity and elegance their own characteristics......

Man by his very nature needs trust and security. When there is trust and security he blossoms morally and progresses materially. When he feels cornered or threatened his animalistic instincts come into play. This is basic to man’s nature. Each of us often faces calamities, losses and threats. Knowing that there is someone he can call out to grants him patience and ability to bear his losses. Allah promises to be there for him in these times of need and to resolve his difficulties. When he knows that there is a higher authority he can turn to and in whom can place his trust, he feels safe and does not act in a selfish and self defensive manner.

Why did I embrace Islam? My only convincing answer to this question is that Almighty God in His Glory helped me in admitting the Greatest Truth and testifying to the biggest reality to the world. I, however, know fully well that human nature and its disposition refuse to be convinced of certain facts and realities without satisfactory proofs and cogent arguments. Keeping in view man's nature, I feel that this reply of mine would not satisfy those who are not inclined towards, nor do they feel any interest in, searching for the Truth, nor those on whom the light of truth has not dawned. I am, therefore, left with no alternative but to reduce to writing some of the reasons and causes that induced me to embrace Islam and to stick to it.

While staying in a European society, I express my joy and jubiliation, that the people living in these societies do......
