Abhinav, you have finally quench the medal thirsty Indians.
We had very little or I can say nothing to celebrate this Independence Day. From past 30 and odd years all we had was the sugar coated speeches of the politicians.
You just have not created history!!
Now we know how it does feel like, worlds best tag with him.
(I really have the feeling that I personally won the medal myself. Thanks for making me feel this.)
We have never felt this proud in the recent sporting event.
Last Olympics was a pleasant surprise. Mr. R. Rathod has single handedly put India on the medals list. Even though we were proud, it had left us with wanting for more.
(It is very sad that he hasn’t got the due respect he deserves in our sporting world.
We still look up to the cricketers, a sport which is not even recognized by half of the world)
Not even when we won the twenty 20 world cup. After all it is (cricket) played in selected countries. And I feel it is entirely a money making racket. The true gentle men’s game has long disappeared. Because of the glamour present in this game, we had ignored other games. Thanks for bringing us out of that world cup -1983 hangovers.
I had never heard our national anthem being played live in the Olympics. Thanks for giving me that opportunity.
I’m eagerly waiting for other events. I hope, at least after hearing our national anthem on the Chinese land, our sports persons will show the fighting sprit which they lack.
At least now we are hoping that our sports ministry will come up with a proper plan to support other sports.
