Tandaima! I’m home!
After 4 very busy days in Kyoto and Osaka its nice to be home I must say it was a nice trip that both me and my G/f enjoyed.
I added some pictures of Kyoto fore everyone to see in my album.
I must tell you Kyoto was very nice fore a short stay, first day I visited 5 big temples and shrines. The second day was new years eve so we ate a expensive dinner at a “isakaya” (drinking place/restaurant). And since I love sashimi (raw fish carefully sliced) I ordered a big plate with 5 types of fish and some soy to dip it in. you may think this is strange but it tastes so good with soy so I must recommend everyone to try it some time. it’s a bit similar to sushi but you skip the rice.
The twist with this Sashimi was that it was so fresh one of the fishes was sliced and put as decoration on Ice, It was literally still twitching wile its muscles were laying sliced up next to it to behold... I must say it as a little bit strange to look the fish in the eye and eating a part of it.. My g/f pointed out that foreigners often feel bad fore the fish, I guess I’m a cold bastard since I mostly thought how good the sashimi tasted…. :p (ok perhaps I felt a little sorry fore the fish ;)
A bottle of beer later we took the buss to another shrine and awaited the new year. It was a nice shrine with a few hundred people waiting. And on the stroke of midnight I thought how quick that year passed and kissed my g/f and wished her a happy new year :).
A very late Happy new year to all of you/ Razar
