You can't connect, because only a stupid person would

play this game on a mobile phone. That's why the admins

decided to not allow GPRS.

Well, i use the phone to make an connection when im using the laptop via bluetooth. this is my business phone and only got gprs, when im on the road i would like to check the status of my bases.

LOL i doubt ... how could someone able to play the game in a not more than 5 inch screen .

Even this web-online-game requirement is low , i think is still too much for a tiny-mobile-phone , and how about a "Netbook" , anyone using mobile connection while playing the game? personnaly using a notebook with fixed connection ...

I am using my iPod to play it...it has some of the essential features..you need to get an iphone!

danielegg Thu Jun 18, 09 07:13 PM

acctually i was just on vacation and i was using my cell phone (ATT Tilt or HTC 8925)connected to my laptop as a 'wireless modem'. using windows mobil 6.1 (on my phone), it has internet connection sharing that tells the laptop that it has an internet connection. It acts kind of like an air card for a laptop, using cellular signal for internet over cell phone towers.

As for GPRS... thats a very very slow data connection.. I tryed playing the game with an Edge connection and it barely worked. 3G works good, HSDPA works great. ive done tests and goten 2.8 megabit connection (better then most wired!)

Anyway just my .50 Cents.

"I am using my iPod to play it " -> O_o really? i never imagine that ... but isnt the screen too small?

yyishere Thu Jun 18, 09 10:50 PM

the dev actually has an Application interface for it...it is different from the web browser...very neat

obelix88888 Fri Jun 19, 09 04:59 AM

yyishere ... i do use PDA-phone as my daily office life ... but may not have mastered it yet ... do u know any good and reliable website for it ? or ... if u dont mind ... would u post ur image of Ipod with "instruction/steps" of it?

thanks

yyishere Fri Jun 19, 09 07:21 AM

well,..iTouch/iPhone is basically a computer...I use wi-fi to connect and Safari browser...when I get to WWII website, it automatically detects my mobile device and I can use it as an application

SSKevinz (PrinceEvil) Sat Jun 20, 09 02:12 AM

alright gonna get an iPhone 3G, my Nokia N97 is too slow

ggallin Sat Jun 20, 09 03:10 AM

what?!?! the nokia n97 too slow?.... no way.

obelix88888 Thu Jun 18, 09 07:21 PM

Danielegg said : "HSDPA works great" as i remenber people call it 3.5G , and there's Router already for it , with dedicated HSDPA-usb on it ... u may get a even faster connection than home-wired connection .But this kind of connection will depend on ur location of reception

danielegg Thu Jun 18, 09 07:43 PM

of course the location and reception will dictate actual internet connection speed. :) i just called it what i called it because in my registry editory on my phone, thats what its called. when i was in HI on the island of kauai, i had 2 out of 5 bars (reception). i had anyware between 1.8 and 2.2 megabit connection.. theoreticly if i was standing under a cell tower, and i got the maximum lab tested connection it would be around 7.?? megabit...

and i think the iPod comment was ment to be a joke. :)

now i have another .50 cents put in.... LOL

Zolardo Thu Jun 18, 09 09:37 PM

Yea get all the bugs, errors, deceptions, and scams all on the move now!! What more could you want??

Yay!

danielegg Thu Jun 18, 09 09:54 PM
