Okay for my first Tips and Tricks I'd like to discuss long term growing weapons involving legends.
Legend weapons are a good thing to have, but do not put them in a growing soul unless its a +10 or higher. This is very important to remember because if you do it on a lower level soul it renders the legend practically useless for future grows, unless you have a long term plan of collecting more legend weps for saint weapons. Granted a growing legend at less than a +10 will suffice for a few levels once you get your character (toon) higher in levels you are going to want to grow it again or start a new weapon.
Why do I say that putting a legend in a growing wep that is less than a +10 renders it useless?
This is because after you have put your legend wep into a growing soul you have to make a chocie if you are planning on growing it again. The choice is either using a craftmens heart or a blacksmiths heart. If you grow your Legend Growing wep (after it's already been put into a soul and reached 100 percent exp) and use a craftmens hear, you will lose the grey stats (legend stats) on the legend wep. If you use a blacksmiths heart you lose the blue stats (basic legend stats) but you keep the grey'd out stats. If this does not bother you then i guess this tips and tircks does not apply to you.
In my opinion, the smart way to do this (more so if you are a mage) would be to start a basic no legend growing wep. once you get it to +10 Then put a legend in it. Mind you this is not how I'd choose to do it for myself. What I would do is collect all the legend weapons i need in order to make it a saint gear, then I'd have a saint weapon to throw into a +10 growing wepon. At that point having reached the level to use the saint i haven't wasted any legand weps in growing souls and now instead of having a regular legend in a nice growing soul, that i can no longer grow unless I want to sacrafice the stats, i have a +10 Saint Weapon to use until deva wepons come out.
Speaking of deva, I'm not 100% on how deva weapons are going to work out. I know they informed us that to turn a saint gear into a deva gear all you have to do is +5 a saint gear. Do not assume that they are planning on keeping it this way however. I dont need an angry mob coming after me because devs and admin decided to change the way things work last minute.
