I think that the first metal band which music I used in my posts was Manowar. My friend Monti_84 was so kind to introduce me to their music and I, unexpectedly for myself, begun to like metal music.
I am very sorry that Monti himself stoped to write his nice posts because they were all sent to audited.
I want today to try to present you a post on the last album of Manowar: Thunder in the sky (2009).
In this new album are 2 CDs. The second one is completely dedicated to a song called FATHER. It has different versions in different languages. When I listened it first time, I was a bit surprise myself that this is something played by Manowar, but song I liked and I am presenting it here.On background is playing the English version, but, if you want, you can play that language that you like.

nice lyric. who would have thought a metal band would write a song like that except of course the gospel metal bands.
Many people would think a metal band can write a song like that, check my list of metal ballads and you′ll get to realize metal musicians are amongst the most gifted musicians compared with any other genre of music...

Thank you, my dear. I was thinking myself about my own father. I am long ago gone from home, but I always try to see things through my fathers eyes and imagine what he can say about one or another thing.
Well, this is actually an Extended Play or EP, the preamble of their new full length planned to come out on December and title "Hammer of the Gods". It is quite extraordinary to see that a band can still keep its identity after more than 30 years in the business, but i think that′s why they are legends in the metal field (another clear example of a legendary band is Iron Maiden). The music is still Manowar music, very easy to identify because it is bombastic, epic and you can feel their love for true metal in every note...Their music is mainly based on vocals, but luckyly Eric Adams is an excellent singer. But i don′t know if you noticed their sound is very modern now, because of the production. If you compare this EP with their first albums, you′ll realize that something changed, now the instruments sound clearer and in the drums department the double bass is more up front, especially in the song "God or Man", which have the more powerful double bass attack i have ever heard by this band.
I like very much the song "God or Man". It is a song with deep lyrics and powerful music.
This is an awesome band indeed and i think you did a great job with this post, i hope people don′t pass it by and they take the time to listen to the songs and discover the band, and maybe give them a chance...thanks for sharing this with me, i hope i did not ruin your post with such a long comment, lol...see you my friend...definitely got my vote...
