I didn't have dancing pets myself, but I had 10 years ago a nice white cat called Snowflake (may be the word Snow is so important, or being white?) which was mad about smooth jazz music. When he heard it, he was going near speaker or player and was like drunk not reacting at our words, but trying to PUUUURRRR-sing the song.
