Rafael "Paeng" Nepomuceno (born January 30, 1957 in Manila) is a six time World Bowling Champion Filipino bowler. He has won the World Cup of Bowling four times (1976, 1980, 1992 and 1996). Nepomuceno has also won the World's Invitational Tournament in 1984 and the World Tenpin Masters championship in 1999.

He is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for three records: 1) for most Bowling World cup wins, 2) for being the youngest ever to win the Bowling World Cup (at 19 years of age),and 3) for having won the most number of bowling tournament titles.In total, Paeng has 118 career bowling titles. Paeng who still actively competes up to this day is the only bowling athlete to have won or awarded titles in the Americas, Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa.

If you were to choose your favorite song, the one that stands out among all your other favorite tunes, what would that be and why?

Well, it just occured to me while reading through the messages on my blog and Marion Meadow's Suede playing on background that it was, to my surprise, actually my top favorite tune of all time!  Asking myself why suddenly I realized that Suede is my top's top, numero uno tune, it's because I can't grasp or describe the feeling the tune evokes in me.  I have been in a band since '86 & I have played and sang many tunes & in almost all types of musical genres that every song or tune easily becomes a favorite.  But this tune sparks something in me I can't pinpoint.  I can only say that it's an amalgamation of only good vibes.  It can be of love, family & friends, places, of happy experiences past & present, of serenity & contentment.  Maybe it's this reason why I love it so much.  How about you?  Can......

In a wink of an eye, metro-Manila and provinces in Luzon suffered deaths and devastation due to unusually heavy rains brought by typhoon Ondoy. Luckily, San Jose del Monte City where we live did not suffer as much because we're situated in a mountainous area. Here are some clips of that terrifying day.

We just concluded our first gig in a series of concerts we had scheduled for the months of July and August. It was held last July 24, (Natalia's bithday :)), in a bigger venue and with a much better set of instruments.

A very big "thank you" to the city goverment of San Jose del Monte for providing us assistance in the sale of tickets, venue and instruments. They really helped us a lot. And the best news is: the bands have improved a lot since last seeing them play at the SK General Assembly!......

Carlos P. Romulo:  Pride In The Filipino

Carlos P. Romulo was attending a meeting when he was asked, "Do you realize that you are the shortest man attending this meeting?"  How do you feel about it?"  Ever quick on the uptake, the witty Romulo quoted Oliver Wendell Holmes,  " I feel like a dime among pennies."

CPR, as Romulo was popularly known, was a very short man with a great mind.  He is proof that man's size is not what counts but the amount of gray matter that he has, and that wit and knowledge can make a giant out of a short man.
