From the official Bitcomet Blog, I did not write this and do not take credit for it, please don't bombard me with statements like "thief." I put this up to help newer Bitcomet users and for me to keep track of my ranking more specifically.
Basically, the higher your rank, the better your download will be. I was suprised to learn that it would only take two years (not exactly two years, but less than three) to become a Marshall. Doesn't seem like a lot for someone whose computer is always on. But then again that is a very long time to seed, however, you can only earn 120 points a day. That would mean your computer would need to be on at least ten hours a day and seed one gigabyte within that time. You can use this chart to track your progress too. Feel free to make use of it. Points do not do anything more than provide more downloading resources (faster downloads), and earn you respect amongst other members of Bitcomet.
- Score = Points from online time + Points from upload bytes
- 1. Being online can generate 2 points per hour but 20 points at most per day.
- 2. Keep uploading files via BitTorrent protocol can generate 1 point per 10MB but 100 points at most per day.
- 3. Downloading files via BitTorrent protocol doesn't affect Score. The same applies to HTTP and FTP protocol.
- 4. Score gets refresh in 24 hours.
- Ranking consists of comet
(16), moon
(4), star
(1). - For example: Ranking 5 equals to

, Ranking 21 equals to

.
- Max Resources mean the number of connections to P2SP. The more connections to P2SP BitComet gets, the faster downloading could be. The number of connections here doesn't equal to the connections normally launched by BitComet. It only relates to newly designed P2SP system. We are speeding up the one who is willing to upload by involving this.
